Karate Andi

Karate Andi (born July 12, 1993) is a rapper from Germany. In the early days, the artist, born Jan Salzmann, performed under the pseudonym Monty Burns. He made his first appearances in Göttingen in the 2010s. From 2012, he performed as Karate Andi at local rap events. Karate Andi's style is battlerap. In 2014, Karate Andi released his debut album Pilsator Platin. The album immediately reaches number 24 in the German charts. Karate Andi's commercial breakthrough came in 2016 with the follow-up Turbo. The album climbed to number 2 in Germany and also became a hit in Austria (number 11) and Switzerland (number 19). The other albums ASAP KOTTI (2019) and Handelsgold Tape (2022) also achieved top positions in the charts in German-speaking countries. In 2023, Karate Andi returns with Hinterhof Palazzo Tape. The longplayer climbs to number 22 in Germany.
