J-Pop singer, songwriter, and actor Kazunari Ninomiya was born in Katsushika, Tokyo, Japan on June 17, 1983. He joined the talent agency Johnny & Associates when he was 13, eventually joining boyband Arashi in 1999. The group’s first three singles – “Arashi,” “Sunrise Nippon,” and “Horizon” – topped the Japanese singles chart. They would eventually score over 50 Number 1 singles between 1999 and 2020 while 15 of their 17 studio albums reached that peak position as well. During his time with Arishi, Kazunari Ninomiya began writing songs and presenting them during recording sessions. He was finally able to have a song featured on an Arishi album with the release of their seventh album Time, released in 2007. During Arishi’s astonishingly successful career, Kazunari Ninomiya was also a star of stage and screen, making his acting debut even before the formation of the band. His acting skills earned him many awards from prestigious establishments such as the Nikkan Sports Drama Grand Prix, the Rendora 110Awards, the Hashida Awards, the Cultural Affairs Awards, the Television Drama Academy Awards, the Hochi Film Awards, and many others. While Arashi continued to achieve great success in Japan, the group went on hiatus in 2020 and allowed each member to pursue their own career paths. Balancing time between acting and recording, Kazunari Ninomiya prepared his first solo release, Marumaru to Ninomiya to, which was released to Arishi fan club members in 2022 and then to digital download and streaming services in June that same year.
