Klarisse de Guzman, born on September 6, 1991 in Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines, is a Filipino singer known for her powerful and soulful voice. Performing from an early age, she competed in singing competition Batang Kampeon when she was only nine years old, finishing in second place. She gained prominence as a contestant on the first season of The Voice of the Philippines in 2013, where she showcased her exceptional vocal range and emotional depth, finishing as the first runner-up. Following her early success, de Guzman embarked on a solo career, releasing her self-titled debut album in 2014 ,which featured songs that de Guzman competed with during the competition as well as two additional tracks “Sabihin Mo Sa Akin” (theme song to Philippine drama Mirabella) and the self-composed "Di Kayang Pilitin." In May, 2016, de Guzman joined female quartet The Birit Queens, who performed extensively throughout the Philippines and the United States, earning the Most Influential Female Concert Performers of the Year award at the 2017 Edukcircle Awards. During the same year, de Guzman released her second studio album, titled Klarisse with hit singles "Wala na Talaga" and "Ikaw at Ako" (featuring Morissette) receiving both critical and commercial acclaim. In February 2021, De Guzman competed in the third season of reality television series Your Face Sounds Familiar, and was declared the winner after achieving a staggering score of 90% and in 2022, sold out her first major solo concert: Klarisse: Her Time (2022) with single “Thank You” touted as a tribute to her family and supporters, released on May 20 that same year.
