This is the story of a "running gag" initiated in February 2007 by two thirty-somethings, Clément Marchand and Alexandre Castagnetti, which became an Internet phenomenon in barely a year, and then a popular success. The idea was simple: every Sunday, the clip of a song parodying current events would be posted online. The success of "Petit cheminot", "Super pouvoir d'achat" and "OGMan " exceeded expectations, and in just a few months, La Chanson du Dimanche became a must-see for millions of Internet users, all fans of caustic, good-natured humor. As the fourth season draws to a close, La Chanson du Dimanche releases a debut album in March 2009, entitled Plante un Arbre, and embarks on a tour of France.
