La Suprema Corte is a Colombian salsa group founded in 1990 by trombonist Andrés Viáfara, along with composers Rodolfo Granja and Cheo Angulo. Known for their energetic and rhythmically rich sound, the band has built a legacy in Latin music with hits like "Escombros", "Un amante como yo", "Solo con verlas", and "Contaminado", amassing millions of streams on digital platforms. Their album Salsa Pesada topped the charts in Colombia, featuring classics such as "Por qué te fuiste", "La mujer maravilla", and "Rompe mis esquemas". They followed up with Veredicto, which expanded their reach to Ecuador and Venezuela, driven by songs like "El amor más grande", "Quiero quedarme en ti", and "El velorio de Tito". In 2023, they collaborated with Willy García on "Mentira", further solidifying their influence in the salsa scene. The group has also captivated international audiences with performances across the United States, Ecuador, and even the UK. Their 2024 release "Amor de reparto", along with albums like Suprema 30 - 30, Vol.1 and Castillo de Amor, continues to showcase their enduring passion for salsa and commitment to keeping the genre alive.
