Last Child is an Indonesian punk rock band formed in East Jakarta in 2006. Founded by schoolmates Virgoun Teguh (guitar/vocals), Dimas Rangga (bass), and Ary Ceper (drums), the group settled on that name because each one of its members happened to be the youngest child in their respective families. Following Ceper's departure, Last Child's lineup was consolidated with the addition of guitarist Rachmad Firdaus. Soon after, they made their official debut with the mini-album Grow Up, which combined their love for Western pop-punk groups such as Blink-182 and Green Day with socially-conscious lyrics. Their first studio effort Everything We Are Everything was released in 2008 via Fake Records and touched on a wide array of subjects, including love and spirituality. Following the success of their 2009 single "Diary Depresiku," Last Child returned in 2012 with their sophomore effort Our Biggest Thing Ever, which featured the Indonesian Idol finalist Giselle on the track "Seluruh Nafas Ini." In subsequent years, singles like "Duka" (2016), "Maha Pemilik Hati" (2018), and "Ketidakrelaanku" (2020) showcased a more mature side of the group, which got closer to pop music as their career moved forward. In 2021, an acoustic version of "Duka" reached Number 107 on the Indonesian charts.
