Real name Hubert Bourquin, the chansonnier le Bel Hubert was born on November 11, 1951 in Sonceboz-Sombeval, in the Bernese Jura region of Switzerland. Originally a garage mechanic, he has been singing solo since the early 1990s, making a name for himself with songs such as "La vache", "La fille du tracteur", "Le taureau à bretelles " and the 1991 album Capucines . He went on to perform at numerous festivals, both in Switzerland (Paléo Festival de Nyon, Festival de la Cité à Lausanne) and abroad (Printemps de Bourges, Festival d'Avignon, etc.), consolidating his repertoire in 1994 with Limaces, featuring "Le cycliste", "Brouette" and "Génisse", followed by Entre in 1998, with its hits "Les patates", "Futur assez simple" and "Mon bœuf à moi". In 2003, he made a comeback with the album Deux Siestes , and three years later gave a public account of his activities with Quinzaine du Blanc Chez les 3 Suisses, with Sarclo and Simon Gerber. On Victor, ma Vache et Moi in 2010, he features Yves Jamait on the track "Joli foutoir".
