Formed in 1997 by guitarist and conductor Vincent Dumestre, Le Poème Harmonique specializes in performances of lyrical tragedies by Jean-Baptiste Lully(Cadmus et Hermione), Marco Marazzoli(La Vie Humaine) and Luis de Briceño(El Fénix de Paris). In 2006, the DVD of Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme won a Diapason d'or. Created in 2006, Le Carnaval Baroque is performed from Lyon to San Francisco. The group, which includes singers, musicians, dancers and actors, has performed at a number of festivals in Europe, the United States and Japan.
