Lee Min-ho is a South Korean actor and singer who rose to fame as a result of his role as Gu Jun-pyo in 'Boys Over Flowers' in 2009. Lee was born in Seoul and had early aspirations to become a football player. He had some success as a young child, but an injury stopped him from progressing. Instead, he took to acting in high school and went on to study film and art at Konkuk University. In his late teens Lee began auditioning for acting roles and got a few minor parts on television shows. After spending a year out of action following a car accident in 2006, Lee landed his first major role in high school drama 'Mackerel Run' in 2007. However, it was his role as Gu Jun-pyo in KBS's 'Boys Over Flowers' that gave him his real break in 2009. With his acting career going from strength to strength Lee made the move to music in 2013 with the album 'My Everything'. It reached number five in the South Korean charts and number eleven in Japan, leading to the follow-up 'Song for You' in 2014 and the EPs 'The Day' and 'Always', all of which broke into the South Korean top ten.
