Quebec folk group formed in 1994, originally comprising Paul Bellemare (Polo), Thibaud de Corta, François Lalonde, Gilles Brisebois and Mara Tremblay. They released their first album, Ç'Pas Grave, in 1995. The songs " Cauchemar ", a cover of Robert Charlebois' 1970s hit, " L'Été ", " Ma Belle barbie " and " Rastafarwest " all reached the top 15 of the Quebec charts. In the spring of 1997, Denis Lavigne, Paul Boudreau and François Robichaud replaced three members of the group: Thibaud de Corta, Mara Tremblay and François Lalonde. In August of the same year, their second album, Paix, Amour Et Foin , is released, with the song " Mon Voisin " reaching the top of the radio charts. On June 21, 1999, their third opus, Prends Ça Cool , was released. For this one, François Robichaud is replaced by Alain Quirion on drums, and Catherine Ledoux takes Paul Boudreau's place on violin. The song " Senorita conchita " becomes the hit of the album. The group disbanded in 2000, but remained active, performing at festivals across Quebec. In 2018, Les Frères à Ch'val release a compilation entitled Les Plus Meilleures Chansons, 20 years after the release of their last album. In the summer of 2019, the group re-formed, consisting of Polo, François Lalonde, Denis Lavigne and Gilles Brisebois, and released a new original album called Ast'Heure.
