Richard Petit

Born in Laval (Canada) in 1972, Richard Petit is a Quebec composer, producer and pop singer. In 1995, he founded the group l'affaire Tournesol, which came 2nd in the final of the 1997 Empire des futures stars contest. In 1998, he collaborated on the lyrics of the song " Belzébuth " by the group Les Colocs. In 2000, he released his first album, Kiss And Run. The title track, as well as the songs " Le Printemps " and " L'Infinité ", were played on Quebec radio stations, bringing him to the attention of the general public. In 2002, he released his second opus, Little Girl , with the song " Niaiseux ", which topped the Quebec radio charts. From 2002 to 2004, he created and produced the Dollaraclip series broadcast on the MusiquePlus television network. He participated in the creation of several musical themes for television and wrote songs for several Quebec artists during the 2000s. The album YUL, his third in his career, was released in 2009. In 2010, he founded the musical collective Les Vikings, which interprets the songs of rock bands from the 1970s and 1980s. He also creates the production The Wall Theater Experience, a stage adaptation of Alan Parker's 1982 film The Wall . In April 2021, Richard Petit releases the single " L'Effet papillon ".
