Les Garagistes are a zouglou group from Côte d'Ivoire whose first album, Enfant Chéri, was released in 1992 to relative anonymity. With their second album, Bébé Abandonné, the situation began to change, and the media began to take an interest in the group, but it was not until the release of Livre Blanc in 1998 that the general public really embraced them. With Titrologues in 2000, Les Garagistes enjoyed another popular success, enabling them to embark on a huge tour that took them across the African continent as well as to Europe. Four years later, the album Tapis Rouge sought to restore the image of zouglou, which had been too disparaged in the eyes of the group, who wanted to roll out the red carpet for it. Buoyed by this new success, Les Garagistes went on to release albums such as Fauteuil Présidentiel in 2009, La Bonne Note in 2015 and Gaganini in 2019.
