Nicolas Pellerin and Les Grands Hurleurs, then as of 2015, Les Grands Hurleurs are a Quebec folk band founded in 2008, originally made up of Nicolas Pellerin, Simon Lepage and Simon Marion. The trio released their eponymous debut album in November 2009, and the following year won the Félix award for traditional album of the year. In November 2011, the band released their second opus, Petit Grand d'Or, and in November 2015, the album 3/4 Fort . These 2 albums win the Félix for traditional album of the year, the year after their release. Stéphane Tellier replaces Simon Marion following this third album. In 2017, Les Grands Hurleurs perform at their first major event, the Fête Nationale show on the Plains in Quebec City. The following year, in November, the album Chouïa was released, celebrating the band's 10th anniversary. In June 2019, the group takes part in the big Fête Nationale televised show in Montreal. In 2021, Stéphane Tellier leaves the group to pursue other projects, and the trio becomes a quartet, with the arrival of Olivier Rondeau and Tommy Gauthier. November sees the release of the band's fifth album, entitled Ellipse. Les Grands Hurleurs have toured extensively throughout the world, including Quebec, Canada, the United States, Europe and Morocco.
