Contrary to what the band's name might suggest, Les Médecins de Medeline is a Cameroonian band, not a Colombian one. It is made up of five members from underprivileged backgrounds, united by their passion for soccer and music: Petit Zepe, Petit Boy Boyl, Bbwaii, Mystère Pogol and Chacala. The group, originally from Yaoundé, is part of the Mbolé movement, a musical genre born in this city in 2016, which mobilizes a wide range of percussion instruments. Les Médecins de Medeline stand out for their spiritual lyrics, as evidenced by one of the first tracks released by the group in 2021, "Mon Dieu" . This was included on the EP La Prophétie, released the same year, which featured "Amoureux du Mbolé ". The religious aspect continues on the danceable "Alléluia ", released the same year. In 2022, the group kept up with the times with the release of a freestyle, "Touma-Touma", then in 2023, the group made a comeback with a new single mixing French and English, " Slack le Coma".
