Real name Charles Arthur Locko Samba, Cameroonian RnB and afropop singer Locko was born in Douala on May 8, 1992, and grew up in Yaoundé. From an early age, he was drawn to music and singing, learning to play the guitar and then the piano. By the age of 18, he was regularly posting on his social networks covers of popular songs by African and French artists such as Singuila, Maitre Gims, Flavour, Stanley Enow and Duc-Z. He gave up his studies after graduating from high school to devote himself fully to his musical career. In 2014, he released his first single "Perfect Girl" in collaboration with Numerica, which preceded his first solo track, entitled "Margo", by a few months. In 2015, he released his first EP, The Bridge. Three years later, it's the turn of a debut album. The Bridge welcomes a number of guests, including Nabila, One 237, Roche Dombou and Mr Leo. After Cloud Nine, released in 2019 and featuring the track "Hein Hein Hein" in duet with Singuila, a second EP, Locked Up , was released in 2020. The following year, he collaborated with Bramsito on the track "Voyage", and reunited with the French singer on Era, Locko's third album, released in 2021 with support from other artists such as Tayc, Innoss'B, Cysoul and Ful.
