A child of the city of Douala, in western Cameroon, Yves Daniel Kwa Ngangue developed a passion for music at an early age, and intensified his musical practice after graduating from high school in 2009. Amateur tracks appeared, notably "Points sensibles" (2012), before he managed to sign a contract with Hope Music Group in 2013 and launched himself under the name Yvich. In the meantime, he is integrating and collaborating in the Cameroonian music scene, participating in the two tracks making up Philjohn's No More Stranger (2013) and then meeting Michael Kiessou for the track "Bennam" (2014). That same year, Yvich presented his first official single, "Okay" (2014), before appearing on the hit "KDT " (2015) with Dynastie Le Tigre and Michael Kiessou. Anchored in an approach that oscillates between R'n'B, afropop and electronic beats, Yvich followed up with the singles "Parkinson" (2015) then "Plus jamais seule" (2017) before marking the occasion with an eight-track debut album released in 2017, Jabea, featuring Featurist, Tenor or Mink's.
