Los Inquietos del Vallenato

Los Inquietos del Vallenato is a Colombian vallenato group formed in 1995 in San Juan del César, La Guajira, by vocalist Nelson Velásquez and accordionist Emerson Plata. They quickly gained popularity with their debut single "Volver", which became a hit across Latin America, leading to the release of their first album, Volver a Triunfar (1996), featuring classics like "Quiero saber de ti", "Después de ti", and "Cada día te quiero más". Their success continued with Inquietos por el Mundo (1997) and Presente y Futuro (1999), which included "Nunca niegues que te amo", a song that dominated the charts into the 2000s. Over the years, the group evolved with new members while maintaining their signature romantic vallenato sound, releasing albums such as Eternamente (2000), Con Luz Propia (2005), and Los Inquietos Hoy (2007), with standout tracks like "Si La Ves", "Pide lo que quieras", and "Vas a extrañarme". They have toured extensively in the U.S., Mexico, Venezuela, and Ecuador, solidifying their status as one of the most influential vallenato acts. In 2024, the group released the album Internacionales, followed by a world tour celebrating their 30th anniversary.
