Jhonny Rivera is a Colombian actor, singer and songwriter who has been composing music and singing from an early age. He left home aged 17 to study civil engineering in Bogotá, but did not complete the course. Difficult personal circumstances led him to compose and release his first single 'El Dolor de Una Partida', which featured on his first album 'Ya No Dudes de Mi', both released in 2004. His second album 'Soy Soltero' reached number one in the Spanish Albums Chart in 2006 and was followed by his third album 'Una Voz Que Llega al Alma' in 2007. In 2008 he released 'El Intenso' which was certified Gold for sales, as was 'Soy Soltero' in 2006. Rivera released three more albums over the next seven years: 'Tengo Rabia Conmigo' in 2009, 'Te Sigo Queriendo' in 2011 and 'No Hay Porqué Esperar' in 2015. He also released a single in 2015 which was a duet with his son Andy Rivera called 'El Que La Hace La Paga'. His eighth studio album 'Soy de Pueblo' was released in 2017. In 2019 he completed his 78th tour, including 12 international tours. He has also recorded several collaborations with artists such as Lady Yuliana and Dario Gomez. In 2019 he released the single 'Tu Veneno' with Jesse Uribe.
