Magic!

Magic! is a Canadian band from Toronto and Ontario that was founded in 2012 and plays a mix of pop, soft rock and reggae. The band is a project of producer Nasri Atweh, known for his work with Justin Bieber, Pitbull and No Angels, among others. With songwriter and guitarist Mark Pellizzer, he wrote the first single "Rude" in 2012 and later formed the band Magic! with Ben Spivak as bassist and Alex Tanas as drummer until 2022. Their first album together, Don't Kill the Magic, was released in 2014 and peaked at number six in the US, number five in Canada and number nineteen in the UK. A huge success, the single "Rude" reached number one on the US and UK charts, number six in Canada. The band contributed the song "This Is Our Time (Agora é a Nossa Hora)" to FIFA's official album One Love, One Rhythm for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Their second album Primary Colours charted again in the US and Canadian charts in 2016, but like Expectations (2018), it failed to match the success of their debut album. Returning with Inner Love Energy in 2024, Magic! scored another moderate hit with the track "Good Feeling About You", which reached No. 22 on the Canadian Adult Contemporary charts.
