Maiko Kozakura is a Japanese female enka singer, born on June 6, 1978 in Chigasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Her real name is Naomi Tanaka. In 1992, when she was a junior high school student, she participated in NHK's BS Winning Song Contest and won the championship, and in 1993, she participated in the BS Winning Song Contest Grand Champion Tournament. The following year, in 1994, she also won the NHK Nodo Jiman in Kanagawa Prefecture, and competed in the NHK Nodo Jiman Grand Champion Contest the following year. In May 2001, she debuted with the single "Koisuru Jokamachi," set in Akita Prefecture, which was No. 1 in sales for 15 consecutive weeks in Akita Prefecture, and also No. 1 in sales for the year.
