Maisak

Maisak, born Maikel Rafael Rico Torres in Caracas, Venezuela, on October 2, 2000, is a Venezuelan-born Colombian singer whose family relocated to Santa Marta when he was just two years old. It was in this coastal city where Maisak spent his formative years and first developed a deep connection to music, a passion he inherited from his father, a singer who instilled in him a strong sense of respect for the craft. By age 10, Maisak had already embraced music as a responsibility, blending the traditional sounds of vallenato with urban styles to create his own unique sound. His big break came in 2020 when he won an international contest organized by renowned producers The Rudeboyz and a Colombian youth radio station. This victory opened doors for him, allowing him to write for mainstream artists, including Maluma, who was so impressed with Maisak’s talent that he signed him to Royalty Records. In 2021, he released the single "Cómo te olvido" featuring The Rudeboyz, followed by other popular singles such as "Ayer" (2022), "Hagámonos de To" (2023) with Kapla y Miky, and "Recuerdos" (2023). The following year saw the release of the track "Se Me Olvida" featuring Feid.
