Majestica

Swedish power metal and symphonic metal band Majestica was formerly known as ReinXeed. Founded in Boden in 2000 by Tommy Johansson, ReinXeed is known for its taste for fantasy film soundtracks such as The Lord of the Rings, and produced its debut album The Light in 2008. Much appreciated in Japan, where the band toured, ReinXeed made eight more albums, before reinventing itself as Majestica, with bassist Chris David, drummer Joel Kollberg and guitarist Alex Ortiz, replaced in 2021 by Petter Hjerpe. After collaborating as guitarist with Sabaton, Tommy Johansson sets to work on Majestica's debut album, Above the Sky, which sees the light of day in June 2019. In 2020, an astonishing album of Christmas songs surfaces in December, entitled A Christmas Carol. However, Majestica did not abandon its powerful metal and, after a European tour and a detour via Tokyo, returned to the studio to put the finishing touches to its third album, Power Train, released in 2025.
