Born in Montreal, Canada, on March 6, 1950, Marie Michèle Desrosiers is a pop singer from Quebec. She met Michel Rivard, Robert Léger and Pierre Bertrand at the National Theatre School in 1973, and joined their group Beau Dommage. Their eponymous debut album, released in 1974, went 3x platinum, selling over 300,000 copies. Between 1974 and 1978, she released five albums with the group. After Beau Dommage split up in 1978, she pursued a solo singing career, in addition to acting in theater and on television. Between 1980 and 1985, she released three albums, and several songs reached the top of the Quebec radio charts, including " Aimer pour aimer ", " Le Taxi fou ", " Les Graffitis en fleurs " and " Entre ciel et terre ". During these years, she also acted in the soap opera Peau de Banane . In 1985, she took part in the Quebec-Africa Foundation, singing for the Les Yeux de la Faim project. In 1994, the group Beau Dommage reformed, and she recorded a new album of original songs with them. In the summer of 1996, she travels to Prague and produces her first Christmas album with the Czech Symphony Orchestra. Many of the songs on this album became classics in Quebec, including " C'est l'hiver ", " Joyeux Noël " and " Trois anges sont venus ce soir ". In 1999, this opus is certified double platinum, with over 200,000 sales in Canada. Marie Michèle Desrosiers released a second Christmas album in November 2002, which she recorded with the Red Army Choir. She produced two more albums in the 2000s, Mes Mélodies du Bonheur in 2004 and Marie Michèle Se Défrise in 2008. In 2014, she accompanied Clémence Desrochers on a three-year concert tour. In 2018 and 2019, she performs in over 40 cities across Quebec with Luce Dufault, Martine St-Clair and Marie-Élaine Thibert for Entre Vous Et Nous . In 2021, she is part of the Nicole - Les Chansons d'une Vie tour, a tribute to singer Nicole Martin, who died in February 2019.
