Melim

Known for their eclectic blend of MPB, reggae, and pop music, the Brazilian folk trio Melim was formed in 2015 by twin brothers Rodrigo and Diogo, and their younger sister Gabriela. Hailing from the city of Niterói in Rio de Janeiro, the siblings started performing at a very young age and were all involved in different musical projects. After playing together for the first time at the Festa da Música in Canela, Rio Grande do Sul, they decided to join forces and started writing their own material. A year later, they jumped into the spotlight after finishing runner-ups on Rede Globo's Superstar, landing a record deal with Universal Music. In 2017, they made their official debut with an eponymous EP that included the platinum-selling hit single "Meu Abrigo." Preceded by the single "Ouvi Dizer," their self-titled studio debut appeared in 2018 and featured a re-recording of their song "Dois Corações," which peaked at Number 81 on the Brazilian Top 100. Melim released two live albums, Melim - Ao Vivo (2019) and Melim Em Casa (2020), before dropping their second extended play Eu Feat. Você in May 2020. That year, the band began teasing the release of their third EP Amores e Flores with the single "Possessiva."
