MOONCHILD

Moonchild is a girl group from Japan, managed by LDH Japan and co-produced by Hybe Labels Japan. It features five members: Ruan, Uwa, Anri, Hana, and Mirano. The members all emerged from LDH's audition program iCON Z Dreams for Children, making it all the way to the end of the selection process from an initial pool of 48,000 candidates. The name Moonchild, which is often stylized in all caps, represents the group's concept of being as enchanting as the moon. The group aims to cover various types of entertainment aside from just music, interacting with fans, and creating audiovisual content in a way that serves as a parallel to the moon's various phases. Moonchild made their official debut with the single "Don't Blow It" in April 2023. Shortly after, they released their first extended play Delicious Poison, reaching number 9 on the Oricon charts. Moonchild gained further visibility by appearing on the cover of VI/NYL issue #011 and the July special issue of GINGER magazine. They also participated in the 2023 Weverse Con Festival in Seoul, South Korea, on June 10 and 11. In November 2023, Moonchild released their second EP titled Friends Are For, which reached number 27 in Japan.
