NGHTMRE, aka Tyler Marenyi, is an American trap and house producer. He was born in Stamford, Connecticut in 1990 but raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. After college, seeking to pursue a musical career, he moved to Los Angeles and studied at the Icon Collective Music Production School where he met fellow producers Derek Andersen and Scott Land of Slander. Marenyi's early anonymous output was of remixes of artists including Tiƫsto, Rae Sremmurd and Skrillex, but he began shifting his focus to his own tracks, some in collaboration with Slander. He had a hit in 2015 with 'Street', which was given a boost when Skillrex played it in a headline set at Ultra Music Festival. That same year he was picked up by Mad Decent and 'Street' got an official release. 2016 saw the release of the EP 'Nghtmre' which made it to number 17 on Billboard's US Dance Chart and 'Need You', Marenyi's collaboration with Dillon Francis. A follow-up EP, 'Magic Hour', was released in 2018, as was Chainsmokers collaboration 'Save Yourself'. In 2019 Marenyi released the single 'Bang' with Lil Jon and Shaq.
