Nico Suave

Born in Menden in the Sauerland region of Germany, Nico Suave developed a real soft spot for US rap as a young teenager. Still not yet of age, he can already look back on numerous gigs in local youth centers as well as an acquaintance with the German hip-hop star Dendemann, who also comes from Menden. Nico Suave, who became even better known through a feature part on the Eins-Zwo track "Sternzeichen Krebs" (1998), also began to bring his own releases to the public in the new millennium. His debut album Suave immediately reached number 49 in the German charts in 2001, while the single "Vergesslich" also became a chart success (number 87). The artist, who switched from the major label Universal to the independent label No Limits for his second album Mit Liebe gemacht (2005), was one of the most established and credible representatives of German hip-hop culture in the mid-2000s. Subsequently, Nico Suave's reflective lyrics became increasingly introspective, which can be heard above all on Suave and Friends, released in 2007 on Bock auf'n Beat Music. After a few years of creative hiatus, the MC returned in 2015 with the LP Unvergesslich , on which he collaborated with Flo Mega ("Gedicht") and Xavier Naidoo ("Danke"), among others. In 2021, he released tracks such as "Gedankenmillionäre" (feat. Johannes Oerding) and "Grünes Licht " as a precursor to his studio album Gute Neuigkeiten (number 75 in Germany), which was released in 2022.
