Mostly known for his viral hit "Mary Berry," Niko B (born Tom Austin on December 7, 2000, in Buckinghamshire) is an English rapper and social media star who took his alias from the main character in the videogame Grand Theft Auto IV. Recorded in just two days, the song went as far as accumulating more than 2 million streams across three platforms in 2019, landing him a record deal to release a second single. Conceived as an ode to life in small-town Britain, the track's name is a nod to the former Great British Bake Off judge and it name-drops other famous personalities, such as Gordon Ramsay, the Queen, and even Afropop outfit NSG. In fact, not long after the track’s release, the Milton Keynes rapper went on to be the band's opening act during their UK tour. Released in 2020, "Who’s That What’s That," Niko B's second single, received heavy airplay on British radios, debuting at number 12 on radio chart show The Official Big Top 40 and reaching number 26 on the UK Singles Chart. Over the following years, singles like "It's All Gone" (2021), "CANADA GOOSE" (2022), and "Rips in Jeans" (2022) helped him build anticipation ahead of the release of his studio debut. Preceded by the singles "trespass coat," "it's not litter if you bin it," and "boarded the plane," Niko B's first full-length album dog eat dog food world came out in May 2024, peaking at number 43 on the UK Albums Chart.
