November Ultra

Mélanie Pereira, French singer-songwriter, was born on November 7, 1988 in Boulogne-Billancourt. She studied audiovisual translation, specializing in subtitling, before devoting herself fully to her passion, music, from 2013. She started out as a singer in the electro-pop group Agua Roja, which broke up in 2018, leaving the way clear for the artist to continue solo, under the name November Ultra. This was inspired by the name of a Frank Ocean mixtape, Nostalgia, Ultra, and her birth month. The multilingual artist (she sings in French, Portuguese, Spanish and English) makes a name for herself on the Internet with sensitive guitar-vocal covers of songs such as ABBA's "The Winner Takes It All" and Dalida's "Il venait d'avoir 18 ans ". A first EP, Honey Please Be Soft & Tender, is released in 2021. Her vocal mastery is praised by critics, and earns her a Victoire de la Musique award in the "Best Female Artist" category in 2023, just a few months after the release of her first studio album, Bedroom Walls.
