Brighton-formed, London-based trio Our Girl debuted in 2016 with a fuzz-laden EP, catching attention for their mix of raw emotion and grunge. Comprised of guitarist/vocalist Soph Nathan, bassist Josh Tyler, and drummer Lauren Wilson, the band released their first album, Stranger Today, in 2018, produced by Bill Ryder-Jones. The album captured the intensity of youth and friendship, establishing their sound with dynamic contrasts between heavy riffs and introspective moments. In 2024, Our Girl released The Good Kind on Bella Union, produced by John Parish, exploring themes of identity, resilience, and community, further defining their place in alternative rock.
