Panda Bear is the pseudonym of Noah Lennox, founding member of Animal Collective. After forming the band in 1997 with his high-school friends, Panda Bear took Animal Collective to the top with his inspiration for experimental, psychedelic rock. He soon felt the need for freedom and released the album Panda Bear in 1998. Since 2002, Panda Bear has also been one half of the electro duo Jane. In 2004, Young Prayer demonstrates that he has a personal universe to express. In 2007, Person Pitch won critical acclaim. His successor Tomboy (2011) places Panda Bear among the American alternative rock musicians to watch. The diversity of his influences, from hip-hop to rock, is at work on the 2015 album Panda Bear Meets Grim Reaper. Panda Bear also took part in Daft Punk's Random Access Memories album with the track "Doin' It Right".
