Canadian singer-songwriter and alternative R&B artist, Preston Pablo, hails from the rural town of Timmins, Ontario. Immersed in his parents’ diverse music collection from an early age, he drew inspiration from a wide range of artists spanning Michael Jackson to Toby Keith, the Beastie Boys, and fellow Canadian Justin Bieber. Honing his musical skills, mastering the guitar and other instruments while crafting his own compositions, his soulful style performance and songwriting quickly earned him recognition and praise. During his final year of high school, he burst onto the scene with his viral debut single “OMO” (2019), attracting considerable attention, followed by 2020 single "One Sided" which amassed over one million streams on digital platforms. Subsequent collaborations such as "Circles" with Fawlin and "When We Were Kids" with Zeegs later in the year, with the singer releasing his debut EP, She Tried It, in October. In 2021, Preston signed with Universal Music Canada, releasing the Banx & Ranx-produced hit "Don’t Break (My Soul)." This was followed by "Flowers Need Rain" in 2022, which reached Number 9 on the Canadian Billboard Hot 100 chart. Towards the end of 2022, during the holiday season, Preston Pablo delighted fans with his rendition of the Christmas classic "Winter Wonderland," reaching Number 94 on Billboard's US pop charts. Pablo’s momentum continued with singles like "For Keeps" and "Believe," culminating in his second EP, Dance Alone, earning him the 2023 Juno Award for Breakthrough Artist, with the EP’s title track peaking at number 81 on the Canadian charts.
