Qw4rtz

A Quebec-based a cappella group, the Qw4artz quartet brings together performers of all tessituras, and expands its repertoire with pop standards. Formed by former members of the Les Petits Chanteurs des Trois-Rivières choir, the Qw4rtz quartet originally featured David Gélinas and Xavier Roy alongside tenors Louis-Alexandre Beauchemin and François Pothier Bouchard. After a first show, Rendez-vous à 4 unveiled in 2010, and appearances at comedy festivals, the group welcomed baritone Philippe Courchesne Leboeuf and bass François Dupré in 2013 to replace Gélinas and Roy, and recorded a debut album, A Cappella 101 (2016), consisting of French-language covers. The year 2018 proves fruitful with Qw4rtz's performance at the G7 summit of seven heads of state in La Malbaie, Quebec, and his participation in the TV show La France a un incroyable talent. Unlike its predecessor, Qw4rtz's second album Skabedabedweebeshoobop (2020) features an English-language pop-rock repertoire, followed by new songs and the special double album Ça Goûte Noël (2021), featuring Marc Hervieux, Julien Corriveau, Anna-Sophie Neher, Quartom, Les Itinérantes and Les Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal.
