Rainie Yang Cheng Lin (born on June 4, 1984 in Taipei, Taiwan), known as Rainie Yang, is a Taiwanese singer, actress, and television host. Starting her career as a model, Yang made her debut in television commercials when she was only 16 years old. Auditioning for Taiwanese female pop group 4 In Love alongside Ling Chia-lin, Huang Hsiao-rou, and Chang Chi-huey. she adopted the stage name Rainie, however after two years, the group split up and she continued her solo career, branching out as a television host and taking on acting roles in popular shows Meteor Garden and Devil Beside You. Signing with Sony Music, Yang released her first album My Intuition in 2005, followed by seven albums with the label including Meeting Love (2006) (earning her a Global Chinese Music Chart Award for Best Female New Artist), Not Yet a Woman (2008), the platinum-certified Longing For (2011) and Angel Wings (2013). In 2014, Yang signed with EMI for a further four albums between 2014 and 2020, including A Tale of Two Rainie (2014) and Like a Star (2020). She is best known for singles “My Intuition” (2010), “Ai Mei" (2012), "Wishing for Happiness" (from the 2012 album and television series of the same name), "Wei Ai Qi Cheng" (2013) ), “Lessons in Love" (2016) and “1, 001 Wishes" (2018).
