Fish Leong is a female singer who was born in the Negeri Sembilan region of Malaysia in 1978. She began her singing career in Taiwan and at the age of 19 signed to Asia's largest independent label, Rock Records. Her debut album 'Grown Up Overnight' was released in 1999 but failed to make a significant impact on the Asian charts, however, after the release of her follow-up album 'Courage' in 2000 Leong's fortunes began to change and her career took off. Leong has now become one of Asia's top selling female solo artists with over 18 million record sales to her credit. On the back of her success in music she launched a film career and appeared in 'My Queen' (2009), 'Ice Kacang Puppy Love' (2010) and 'Where's the Dragon?' (2015). After recording her 2012 album 'Love in Heart' Leong took a five-year break from recording until releasing 'The Sun Also Rises' in 2019.
