Razben

Born in Pô in south-central Burkina Faso, Jacques Zoulabou moved to Ghana after high school to study. While there, he developed his passion for music, particularly rap and freestyles. Returning to Ouagadougou in 2010, he composed his first album Brakina (2010) under the name Razben. He gradually integrated himself into the music world, putting his experience in Ghana to good use on singles including "Hololo kjiê" (2016), featuring singer Imilo Lechancheux. His music oscillates between Afro-pop and rap, inspired by Akon or 50 Cents like the pioneering Burkinabe rap group Yeleen. He gained in maturity with each track, "Sélégué" (2017) with Iba One or "African Girl" (2017), then exploded in 2021 with numerous releases. His album Take Over (2021) garnered millions of listens, through the hit "Katiana", then he appeared alongside African rap figures, notably Smarty for "C'est comment" on the EP The Trone (2021). Continuing his songwriting career, Razben went on to make a name for himself with several singles, including "We Are Back Again" (2022) and "Man Fight" (2023).
