Renato Simunovic (June 28, 1994), who goes by the name RIN, is a German hip-hop performer of Croatian and Bosnian heritage who grew up near Stuttgart where he began rapping with fellow hip-hop act Caz in 2014. They released an EP, but in 2016 RIN released a solo track, “Bianco.” His debut album EROS came out in 2017 and he released the track “Vintage” in May 2019. Both “Vintage” and “Up in Smoke” made their way into the German Top 10 and were included in RIN’s sophomore effort Nimmerland (2019), which hit Number 3 in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. In the following years, RIN dropped the singles “Das Rennen” (2020), “Dirty South” (2021), and “1976,” with the latter peaking at Number 21 on the German Singles Chart.
