Canadian singer Ruth Berhe (July 2, 1995), aka Ruth B., began performing songs on social media back in 2013. Born into an Ethiopian family in Edmonton, Alberta, she attended MacEwan University but later dropped out to focus on her music career. Ruth B. began uploading cover songs to her video-sharing channel in 2013 and made her official debut in 2015 with the track “Lost Boy.” The single reached Number 14 on the Canadian Hot 100 and was included in her 2015 debut EP The Intro. In 2016, she entered the studio with producer Joel Little, who had worked previously with Lorde, to record what would become her first full-length. Safe Haven was released in May 2017 and hit Number 17 on the Canadian Albums Chart, obtaining gold certification in both Canada and the US. It also earned Ruth B. her first Juno Award in the category of Breakthrough Artist of the Year. The EP Maybe I’ll Find You Again followed in 2019. Preceded by the singles “Dirty Nikes” and “Situation,” a second LP titled Moments in Between arrived in 2021 via Reb Music Productions.
