Ryosuke Yamada

Ryosuke Yamada, born on May 9, 1993, is a multifaceted Japanese idol known for his singing, acting, and as a member of the boy group Hey! Say! JUMP. Raised in Hatano City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Yamada initially aspired to be a professional soccer player before entertainment caught his attention. His entry into the entertainment industry was somewhat accidental, propelled by his mother and sister who sent his application to Johnny's Entertainment, leading to his acceptance into the agency in 2004 at the age of 11. He quickly made his mark by joining subgroups within Johnny's Juniors, like J.J.Express and Kitty Jr., before making his dramatic debut in "Tantei Gakuen Q." He soared to fame with the formation of Hey! Say! JUMP in 2007 and embarked on a solo career with his single "Mystery Virgin" in 2013, which debuted at the top of the Singles Chart. Beyond music, Yamada has proven his acting mettle in roles like Nagisa Shiota in the film Assassination Classroom, for which he received the Japan Academy Prize Newcomer Award. His career in drama continued to thrive with his lead role in the drama Cain and Abel.
