Yuma Nakayama

Yuma Nakayama is a Japanese actor and singer born in Osaka, Japan on January 13, 1994. Starting his career as a member of Top Kids and 7 West, in 2009, he formed the group Yuma Nakayama w/B.I.Shadow and also teamed up with Hey! Say! JUMP members, Ryosuke Yamada and Yuri Chinen to form NYC Boys. Yuma Nakayama w/B.I.Shadow's debut single, "Akuma na Koi," was the theme song for the drama Koishite Akuma, selling a record 100,000 copies, making them the youngest group in history to top the Oricon chart. The single was released as a split single with NYC Boys, who went on to release several number 1 singles such as "Yūki 100%” (2010), "Yoku Asobi Yoku Manabe" (2010) and "Yume Tamago" (2011). In 2012, Nakayama began his solo career with the release of his first single, "Missing Piece," which debuted at number 2 on the Oricon charts, earning him a gold certification. He followed this in 2014 with top five singles “High Five” and “Get Up” from his debut studio album Chapter 1, which debuted at number 8. Focusing predominantly on his acting career, he continued to release singles over the next few years including "YOLO Moment" (2015), "Tokoton Got It” (2015) and “Feeling Me Softly” from the 2018 film Haunted Campus. In 2023, Nakayama celebrated his 10-year anniversary with the release of THE BEST AND BEYOND, an album including his previous hits and three new singles: "Squall," "Step," and "WEEKEND." The album peaked at number 12 on the Oricon chart.
