A chart-topping Swedish vocalist known for her soulful pop ballads, Sarah Dawn Finer was born in Stockholm on September 14, 1981. After serving as a backing vocalist for Swedish acts like The Teddybears, Peter Jöback, and Moneybrother, she released her self-titled debut EP in 2006. The following winter, Finer competed in Sweden's Melodifestivalen competition with "I Remember You." The song finished fourth and became the year's most-played single on Swedish radio, quickly going gold. It was also made an appearance on Dawn's full-length debut, A Finer Dawn, which peaked at Number 2 on the Swedish charts after its 2007 release. Dawn returned to the Melodifestivalen competition in 2009 with the title track track to her second album, Moving On. The song became Sweden's most-played radio single of 2009, which the album topped the Swedish charts. Throughout the following decade, Finer released Top 10 albums like 2010's Christmas-themed Winterland and 2012's Sanningen Kommer Om Natten while also participating in several Melodifestivalen events as a host.
