Sarah Lesch

Sarah Lesch (born 1 March 986 in Altenburg) is a singer-songwriter from Germany. She interprets her songs on stage with a guitar and ukulele. In her musical beginnings, the artist wrote music for children's theater plays. In 2012, she released her solo debut Lieder aus der schmutzigen Küche under the name Chansonedde. Her second album Von Musen und Matrosen was released in 2015 under her real name. That same year, Sarah Lesch won the Troubadour Chanson & Lied competition. A year later, she came second in the Udo Lindenberg Hermann Hesse Panic Prize. Her album Da Draussen followed in 2017 and she simultaneously received the Baden-Württemberg Kleinkunstpreis award. With the Der Einsamkeit zum Trotze album, she achieved her first chart entry in Germany in 2020 at number 81. One year later, Sarah Lesch released the album Triggerwarnung. Another album, Gute Nachrichten, followed at the end of March 2024. The LP climbed to number 48 in the German charts.
