Born on April 25, 1985 in the Congolese capital Brazzaville, Sean Cruz Milano Da-Mbenze grew up surrounded by the sounds of Michael Jackson, R-Kelly and Kassav'. Fascinated by music, he naturally decided to devote himself to it professionally when he reached adulthood, opting for the pseudonym Sean Milano. With his track "Dis-Moi Pourquoi", the singer recorded his first song, in which his zouk inspirations unfolded. Following this initial notoriety, he joined a group in 2007, D-Y, and went on to represent Congo in the Africa Star competition. A semi-finalist, Sean Milano took advantage of his new-found popularity to record, culminating in a debut album in 2016: Motema. Somewhere between zouk, Congolese rumba and afro-beat, Sean Milano is making his mark on the Congolese music scene, and is once again attracting attention on television for his participation in the 2017 show The Voice Afrique Francophone. The following year, he followed this up with "Rétroviseur", where his music becomes more pop-oriented.
