Serene Koong

Serene Koong is a singer, songwriter, and producer. She was born in Singapore on September 21, 1988. She began her music career in 2010 with the release of her debut album, <<55:38:7>>, a Mandarin language album that produced various top ten hits in Singapore and Malaysia. She received 2 Singapore Hit Awards, including Most Popular Newcomer. In 2012, she made her Taiwanese debut with the album《聲.體.輿言》. In 2013 she wrote, produced, and performed the song "《幸福不难》(Happiness is Not Difficult)" for the drama series The Dream Makers, which became a big hit and raised Serene Koong's profile. The massive popularity of the show led to multiple awards, including the Star Award for Best Theme Song and Top Dedicated Hit Song by UFM1003, reaching Number 1 on the Singapore streaming charts. That year, Serene Koong founded her own music production company, GoodGirlMusic. In 2015, she wrote, produced, and performed the song 《心肝》for the film Grandma Positioning System by director Kelvin Tongand performed "All Alone《当世界只剩下我一个人》'' for The Dream Makers 2. In 2017, she received the award for Outstanding Artist of the Year at the Global Chinese Golden Chart Awards. The following year, she was part of the singing competition show SPOP Sing!, serving as one of the mentors. Subsequent releases such as the English-language singles "Save Me From Myself" (2019) from KIN, "When It Leads Me Back to You" (2021) from Slow Dancing, and "Breathe Again" (2022) found her consolidating her status as one of Singapore's most celebrated female pop singers.
