Kit Chan is a singer and actress from Singapore who has achieved considerable success in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Her debut album was 'Heartache' in 1994, which became a big hit in Taiwan. Later albums were 'Cornered' (1995), 'Sadness' (1996) and 'Don't Let Me Hate You' (1996). In 1997 she co-starred with Jacky Cheung in the Hong Kong musical 'Snow.Wolf.Lake'. Her first Cantonese album 'Revelation' was released in the same year. She released several more albums before retiring from music in 2004, wishing to concentrate on her acting and TV career. She made a comeback in 2001 with the album 'Re-Interpreting Kit Chan'. Another album followed in 2016, 'The Edge of Paradise', and in 2018 'A Time for Everything'. In the same year she released the single 'Home' to mark Singapore's National Day Parade. Chan has also published a book of poetry and a novel.
