DJ and producer of drum'n'bass and jungle, Shy FX is a leading figure in British electronic music. Born in London on November 28, 1976, under the name Andre Williams, he began DJing in 1992, signing with the S.O.U.R. label (Sound of the Underground Records), which released the track "Original Nuttah", featuring UK Apachi. After the EPs Gangsta Kid with Gunsmoke and Sound of the Beast, he released his debut album Just an Example (1995), followed by several singles and collaborations until his association with T Power (Marc Royal), on "Shake Ur Body" (ranked #7 in the charts) and the albums Set It Off (2002) and Diary of a Digital Soundboy (2005). Founder of the Ivory Records, Naughty But Nice Records, Digital Soundboy and Ebony Records labels, Shy FX followed up with the Raver EP in 2011 and several singles including "Honey", before the release of the Raggamuffin SoundTape album (2019), featuring Maverick Sabre, Mr. Williamz, MC Spyda and D Double E, Kojey Radical and Ghetts, Sweetie Irie and Cara Delevingne, Sinéad Harnett, Stamina MC and Lily Allen. This is followed by Raggamuffin Reloaded (Remix) in 2020, the Darker Than Blue EP with Breakage (2021), Rudeboy Design Soundtape with Mr. Williamz (2024), then the single "Risk It All" (2024).
