Indie pop / rock group Son Mieux was formed in The Hague, the Netherlands in 2015. Originally intended to be a solo project for Soul Sister Dance Revolution keyboardist / All Missing Pieces vocalist Camiel Meiresonne. However, not wanting to be classified as ‘just another singer-songwriter,’ he recruited musician friends – including several former members of All Missing Pieces – and formed a band that evolved into Son Mieux. Their early singles and Eps – including “Easy” (2015), “Even” (2016), “Vice Versa” (2016), “Ride” (2016), and “Hiding” (2017) – were released independently before they signed with Universal Music and issued the album Faire de Son Mieux in 2019. The group released their sophomore album, The Mustard Seed, in 2021, which included the popular singles “1992” and “Drive.” However, the band didn’t hit the Top 40 until the release of the 2022 single “Multicolor.” They followed that with several more singles including “This is the Moment” (2022), “Tell Me More” (2023), “Tonight” (2023), and “Free for Another Day” (2024).
