The Swiss soul and pop singer Stefanie Heinzmann was born on March 10, 1989 in Visp-Eyholz. Before her solo career, she sang with the band BigFisch. The artist became known through Stefan Raab's casting competition SSDSDSSWEMUGABRTLAD on TV Total. Heinzmann won the competition in January 2008 with the song "My Man Is a Mean Man". A few months later, she released her debut album Masterplan, which became a number one hit in Switzerland and reached number 3 in the charts in Germany and number 5 in Austria. In the same year, the singer was awarded the Swiss Prix Walo and the 1 Live Krone. The cover version "The Unforgiven" by Metallica was released in fall 2008, the single was not only successful in the DACH region, but also in Turkey and Poland. The following year, Stefanie Heinzmann won the Echo and Swiss Music Awards and released the album Roots to Grow with the song "Unbreakable/Stop". Concerts in Germany, Switzerland and Austria were followed by appearances in the USA with the band Tower of Power in 2011. the singer won the Swiss Music Awards again in 2016 and 2020. In May 2021, the album Labyrinth was released, which reached 4th place in the charts in Switzerland and 19th place in Germany.
