Tatsuya Ueda

Born on October 4, 1983, in the Kanagawa Prefecture, Tatsuya Ueda is a Japanese idol, singer, and actor, best known as a member of the idol group KAT-TUN. He joined the entertainment agency Johnny & Associates on June 22, 1998, and in 2001, he was grouped with KAT-TUN for the NHK program Pop Jam, debuting with the single "Real Face" on March 22, 2006. He held his first solo concert tour, MOUSE PEACE, in 2008 and followed up with MOUSE PEACE uniting with FiVe TATSUYA UEDA LIVE 2010 in 2010. A year before, Tatsuya Ueda starred as Romeo in the stage play Romeo and Juliet and made his TV drama debut in Konkatsu! on Fuji TV. This led to other drama works on Japanese television, including Runaway~Aisuru Kimi no Tame ni (2011) and Boys on the Run (2012). In 2022, Tatsuya Ueda worked with longtime musical hero Sho Sakurai in the series Nemesis and reprised his role in the 2023 movie version. This encounter led to a series of creative collaborations that resulted in Tatsuya Ueda's 2024 EP ギリスト!, which featured two songs co-written with Sakurai. "花の舞う街," one of the tracks from the extended play, peaked at number 22 on the Japanese KKBox streaming charts.
