The multi- talented American singer-songwriter and actress Tayla Parx rose to prominence after playing the character Little Inez in the 2007 musical comedy 'Hairspray'. Since emerging into the spotlight she has built up a successful multi-faceted career in a relatively short period of time. Born Taylor Monet Parks in Dallas, Texas in 1993, she has steadily built up a career writing and performing music, in tandem with her career in film and TV. Her talents as a songwriter were identified by Jon Platt at Warner Chappell and in 2012 she signed a deal with the publishing giants. As a writer she has created material for K-pop artists such as BTS, Tao and Red Velvet and has also co-written with a variety of well-known artists and producers, which include Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, Demi Lovato and Leanne Rimes. As a performer she has appeared on albums by Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey and Camila Cabello, in addition to being credited as a co-writer on four Billboard Hot 100 top ten singles.
